A little effort rewards with a fantastic New Hampshire View
West Rattlesnake Mountain on the north shore of Squam Lake in Center Sandwich, NH offers up beautiful views with a moderate two mile out and back hike.
Trail head parking is available on route 113.
There are two lots on either side of the road, as seen in Google Street View below . One for West Rattlesnake and one for Mt. Morgan. If both of these are filled, there is another parking area about 1/4 mile north on 113. Don't park on the street as you'll likely be ticketed.
If you're looking for the views, you'll take the Old Bridal Path trail to your target destination, the rocky ledge outcrop shown with the arrow below.
The trail is wide and well maintained with a moderate climb. This route is well traveled by kids and leashed dogs. Both will be tired after the climb ; ) Remember to bring water for both!

There is a view point about 500 feet before the summit that is worth a look....
But you'll want to save plenty of time to take in the main attraction. If you've not experienced it before, you may be tempted to spend the whole day.
You can experience the view hike in about two hours. But there is allot more hiking to do do on The Rattlesnakes. Click on the map below from Hike-NewEngland.com to see their excellent review of the hiking opportunities on the mountain.
